Leah McInnis (she/her) is a conceptual interdisciplinary artist currently based in Regina, SK, Treaty 4 Territory.

Worker’s Shed is an architectural form clad in painted drop cloth and lit internally. A speaker
within plays a looping soundscape produced from field work audio recordings. This soundscape
blends nature, industry, play, and work. The viewer is denied access to the interior of this form to
signify invisible labour and unknowability as strategy for resistance. Who is working inside this
temporary tent? Are they making something, or taking it apart? Why are they making so much
noise on a Saturday night?
