Artists
Nuit Blanche Regina provides paid opportunities for artists to exhibit in an urban environment. The platform of a night-time festival encourages both emerging and established artists to experiment with new media technologies and traditional arts, outdoor sculpture, installation and performance beyond traditional environments of display and art appreciation.
The organizers of Nuit Blanche Regina strive to offer a superior experience for artists, including an annual call for submissions, selection by jury, installation support, professional documentation and promotion.
Nuit Blanche Regina is committed to addressing barriers to equal access, opportunities, and resources in a commitment to increase exposure to expansive forms of art-making reflective of our community’s diverse voices. We look forward to deepening connections beyond the night of the festival.
For 2023 Nuit Blanche Regina has implemented a curatorial theme to help reflect our initiatives and collaborate with the artists we work with. This year’s festival is rooted in concepts of fleeting moments. Artists should interpret this theme broadly, work that questions fleetingness conceptually, as well as work that exists as ephemeral in its objecthood will be considered. Visit this link for full description of the 2023 theme.
